Matt Hancock is back in Parliament following his time in the Australian jungle on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Matt Hancock has made his first appearance in the House of Commons following his stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The MP for West Suffolk spent almost four weeks in Australia in order to appear on the ITV show, which saw him finish in third place and pocket an appearance fee of £400,000.

Hancock returned to Parliament on Friday for the introduction of his dyslexia bill, which calls for school pupils to be screened for the condition.

Before he got up to speak, deputy Speaker Nigel Evans remarked: "This is the third Bill of the day and I know Mr Hancock you appear to making a habit of coming third these days."

"I am not quite sure what to make of that," he replied. "But I am honoured to be third today and let's see how that goes."

Hancock is currently sitting as an independent in Parliament after losing the Conservative whip due to his decision to appear on I'm A Celebrity.
