Footballing legend David Ginola reportedly enters quarantine ahead of an appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Footballing legend David Ginola will reportedly be part of the lineup on this year's edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The new series of the ITV reality show begins on Sunday, November 21 - and all of the celebrities taking part are being required to enter a two-week quarantine beforehand to try to avoid a coronavirus outbreak among the cast.

That means that those in the lineup have started entering their quarantine today, and The Sun reports that Ginola has been spotted moving into a cottage on Anglesey in Wales, near to where the show takes place at Gwrych Castle.

"Signing up David is a real coup for the show, and he's by far the biggest name going into the castle," a source told the newspaper.

"He's also an unexpected addition, as all the speculation tends to revolve around what British celebrities are likely to be on the show.

"But producers always tend to select a veteran sports star for the lineup every year, especially one with a high profile like David unquestionably has."

During his playing days Ginola featured for the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Aston Villa, retiring in 2002 and becoming a pundit.

Five years ago, while playing a charity match in France, he collapsed due to a cardiac arrest but was saved thanks to quick-thinking CPR measures from a teammate.

Other celebs apparently seen entering quarantine today include TV presenter Richard Madeley, The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, choreographer Arlene Phillips and EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt.
