Gary Lucy has reportedly been back filming on Hollyoaks, a year after his character Luke Morgan was killed off.

The character, who first appeared on the soap in 1999, tragically lost his life on his stag do in Majorca as a worsening dementia diagnosis caused him to fall off a cliff.

According to The Sun, however, Lucy has recently been filming "top-secret scenes" that will see Luke appear as a vision to Cindy (Stephanie Waring).

"The storyline is being kept hush-hush but the character of Luke isn't actually rising from the dead, even though stranger things have happened in Hollyoaks," a source told the newspaper.

"Luke will re-appear in a series of flashback or dream sequences that form part of a storyline with his girlfriend Cindy.

"Fans will recall Cindy continued to have visions of Luke for several weeks after he died and now she is set to be 'visited' by him once more.

"Bosses were thrilled to find a way to get Gary back briefly to shoot some fresh scenes and they're confident viewers will love seeing him back on their screens."

Hollyoaks continues weekdays on Channel 4 and E4.
