Gogglebox filming up in air as England prepares for second lockdown

Gogglebox producers are said to be scrambling to get the show ready as England prepares to enter a second lockdown.

Gogglebox producers are reportedly rushing to get procedures in place to keep the show on air for the rest of the year.

Over the weekend it was announced that England will be entering a month-long lockdown from Thursday, meaning that people from different households are unable to mix indoors.

Several of the participants on the show are from different households - including the Siddiquis, sisters Ellie and Izzi and best friends Jenny and Lee - and as things stand will not be able to appear together on the show unless they enact a change of circumstance.

Earlier in the year during the first lockdown, Ellie was joined by her boyfriend Nat in place of Izzi, while Jenny temporarily moved into Lee's caravan to form one household in order for filming to continue.

According to The Sun, the show is now said to be "in chaos" as producers scramble to get new arrangements organised before the second lockdown begins.

Gogglebox is due to continue in its Friday night slot on Channel 4 through to Christmas.
