Former Emmerdale star Max Parker is reportedly filming a role in a new series from the creator of The Vampire Diaries.
Julie Plec's Vampire Academy centres around two young women about to graduate from education and enter "royal vampire society".
Parker played chef Luke Posner in the Dales for two years but quit the role suddenly in June, with reports at the time claiming that he was keen to carve out a career in Hollywood.
According to The Sun, Parker has now landed himself a part in Vampire Academy and is currently filming the show in Spain.
A source told the newspaper: "His role is being kept hush hush but it's a good sign Max has avoided the soap star curse so soon after leaving the Dales."
The show is destined for NBC's Peacock service and is likely to be released next year.
