Danny Miller has confirmed that he is leaving Emmerdale ahead of his stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The 30-year-old has played Aaron Dingle in the Dales since 2008 - albeit with a two-year break between 2012 and 2014 - but made the decision to quit the show after recently becoming a father to son Albert.

Miller confirmed the news in a press event earlier this week just days before he is due to take part in I'm A Celebrity's new series.

"Danny has been on the soap for a very long time and had been thinking about leaving," a source told The Sun.

"When I'm A Celeb came up he knew it was the perfect opportunity and would leave him financially secure.

"Becoming a dad to Albert has really changed his perspective on things."

The future of Miller's character - including whether Aaron will be killed off and exactly when he will depart - is currently unknown.
