Sue Holderness - Marlene in Only Fools and Horses - joins EastEnders for a short stint.

Sue Holderness, known for playing Boycie's wife Marlene in Only Fools and Horses, has joined the cast of EastEnders in a guest role.

The veteran actress, 71, will play the part of Estelle, a photoshoot organiser who takes a shine to Billy (Perry Fenwick) when he arrives with daughter Janet.

"I was absolutely delighted to have been given the chance to visit Walford," said Holderness, who has already filmed her short stint on the show.

"It felt very surreal to be popping into the actual fish and chip shop, Ruby's club, The Queen Vic, and wandering around the iconic Albert Square. I was ridiculously excited about the whole thing!

"After more than fifty years in the business it was my first time working on a soap and I loved the whole experience."

Estelle will appear on screen for the first time next month.
