Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor has said that she hopes Helen Flanagan and Brooke Vincent will be back on the show "very, very soon".
Flanagan has played Sally and Kevin's oldest daughter Rosie Webster since 2000 and although she has been absent since 2018, she has recently said that she would "love" to return.
Vincent, meanwhile, has played Sophie Webster since 2004 and intends to be back on the show soon after more than a year off through maternity leave.
"It does feel very strange them not being there," Dynevor told Lorraine. "In the back of my mind I'm always waiting for them to come back.
"I always think Sophie and Rosie will be back very, very soon because it's kinda not the same without having my girls."
Dynevor added that the cast are currently recording the show's 60th anniversary episodes for December, revealing that it will encompass a "community" story.
