Peter Ash announces that he has signed a new one-year deal to stay on Coronation Street as Paul Foreman.

Peter Ash has signed a new one-year deal to remain on Coronation Street, he has announced.

The actor has played Paul Foreman, the twin brother of Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and son of Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove), since 2018 and quickly became a firm fan favourite.

Paul's most recent storyline has seen him vindicated after being framed for multiple misdemeanours by Todd (Gareth Pierce), who was also revealed to have orchestrated Paul's break-up with Billy (Daniel Brocklebank).

Taking to Twitter today, Ash wrote: "Just signed on for another year on the best Street around! Very excited! Here's to another 12 months of Apollo Foreman!😁"

Ash becomes just the latest Corrie star to sign new 12-month deals, joining the likes of Dame Maureen Lipman (Evelyn), Andy Whyment (Kirk) and Alan Halsall (Tyrone).
