Maureen Lipman and Mary Berry lead the entertainment industry nods in The Queen's delayed birthday honours.

Maureen Lipman and Mary Berry are both to be made dames by The Queen in her delayed birthday honours.

An extensive list recognises people - celebrities and non-celebrities - who have made important contributions in the year that coronavirus savaged the UK's economy, health service and way of life.

Joe Wicks, who started free online PE classes during lockdown, becomes an MBE, while 22-year-old Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford also becomes an MBE for his work petitioning the government on meals for disadvantaged children.

Derrick Evans - aka workout legend Mr Motivator - gets an MBE, with veteran actor David Suchet, rock legend Tommy Steele and Hollyoaks creator Phil Redmond all being knighted.

Professor Brian Cox, daytime host Lorraine Kelly, actor Adrian Lester and singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading all become CBEs, while singer-turned-EastEnders-star Mica Paris and grime star Dizzee Rascal are made MBEs.
