Storyline preview: Kelly gets herself into deep trouble as she tries to make amends on Coronation Street this week.

Things take a terrible turn for Kelly (Millie Gibson) on Coronation Street this week as she attempts to right the wrongs from her father's past.

The teenager has recently been visiting people that Rick ripped off over the years, handing them cash to pay them back, but she makes a grave mistake in Friday's episode when she gets in contact with the villainous Kieron, despite warnings from Gary (Mikey North).

Soon Kelly finds herself trapped in a cellar by Kieron, who gets in contact with his shady mates to let them know that he has Rick Neelan's daughter hostage.

"Kelly is distraught," Gibson says of the storyline. "Every time she gets herself into these sorts of situations she feels like she has hit rock bottom, but then another situation comes around so it's a constant cycle of awful situations for her.

"Kelly is fearing for her life, she knows what her dad was capable of so she is terrified of what his enemies could do."

Coronation Street continues Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV.
