The Tennis Channel launches in the UK for the first time, operating at a price point of £2.49 a month.

The Tennis Channel has launched in the UK in what is the country's first 24-hour channel dedicated to the sport.

The service - available at a price point of £2.49 per month - offers original shows, documentaries and highlights alongside live coverage of events including the UK Pro League, the LTA National League Finals and select ATP/WTA tournaments.

Originally launched in the USA, an international version of the channel made its debut in Germany, Austria and Switzerland last year in the German language.

"This country is where tennis began but up until now it hasn't always been easy for British tennis fans to watch the sport they love," said Andy Reif, svp of Tennis Channel International.

"Now tennis fans in the UK can watch this great sport whenever and wherever they want and get to enjoy Tennis Channel's unparalleled programming and coverage."

Tennis Channel is available to UK subscribers through the station's website and app, as well as Roku, FireTV and select Smart TVs.
