TalkTV's debate between Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss was dramatically taken off air tonight following a live on-air incident.
The programme - broadcast from the station's Ealing studios - saw the two Prime Ministerial candidates go head-to-head in a debate moderated by Kate McCann, with a small studio audience of Conservative Party voters present.
Around half an hour into the show, Truss was answering a question about Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine when a loud crash was heard from the other side of the set.
"Oh my God," the foreign secretary remarked, holding her hands to her mouth in shock before appearing to venture over to the scene of the incident.
Seconds later the live feed was cut and an on-screen message appeared reading: "We're sorry for the disruption to this programme. We're working hard to fix the issue and will return to normal programming soon."
TalkRADIO's Ian Collins took to the air around 15 minutes later, confirming that there had been a "medical issue" in the studio which was being "attended to".
According to BBC News, McCann is said to have fainted and collapsed during the broadcast.
After McCann was taken away for medical treatment, Truss and Sunak are thought to have continued answering questions from the gathered audience - although it is unclear whether those exchanges have been filmed, or whether the debate will resume later this evening.
