TalkTV will extend its primetime output from 7pm-10pm to 6pm-12am tonight to cover the vote affecting Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

TalkTV will double its primetime broadcast hours tonight to provide coverage of a crucial vote concerning Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Earlier today it emerged that the PM is facing a vote of no confidence among his own Conservative MPs - and if he fails to garner at least half the vote in his favour, he will be ousted from his position.

The voting is due to take place between 6pm and 8pm, with the result being announced shortly afterwards, and TalkTV intends to remain on air throughout the process.

Typically the channel broadcasts bespoke programming between 7pm and 10pm, but for tonight the schedule is being extended from 6pm to midnight.

The News Desk with Tom Newton Dunn will begin the coverage from 6pm, with a two-hour edition of Piers Morgan Uncensored following at 8pm and then an extended edition of The Talk featuring Sharon Osbourne following on at 10pm.

The coverage will also be simulcast on talkRADIO.
