Love Island's Winter series received over 130 million requests via ITV Hub

The first ever Winter edition of Love Island was the most requested show of 2020 on the ITV Hub by some margin, according to newly-released figures from ITV.

The most recent series of Love Island pulled in a huge audience on the ITV Hub in 2020, ITV has revealed.

The sixth series was the dating show's first ever Winter version and aired in January and February just before the start of the coronavirus pandemic, which led to the regular summer edition being cancelled.

According to figures released by ITV, the series was by far and away the most popular programme on the ITV Hub in 2020, with a total of 130,487,154 requests for episodes.

Daytime programmes Good Morning Britain and This Morning were second and third in the list with request figures of 41,697,911 and 28,199,515 respectively across the year.

The first ever UK-set edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! had 25,711,586 requests, with the first season of Love Island Australia pulling 19,607,068 and the 10th-anniversary series of The Only Way Is Essex drawing 16,160,913.
