ITV to broadcast Capital's Summertime Ball, Jingle Bell Ball
ITV signs a deal to broadcast highlights of Capital's Summertime Ball and Jingle Bell Ball this year, taking over from Sky.

ITV has secured the rights to broadcast highlights from Capital FM's Summertime Ball and Jingle Bell Ball this year.

The events - hosted by Roman Kemp - are some of the biggest concerts of the year, regularly attracting A-list names from across the world of music to perform.

ITV's coverage will go out on ITV1 and streaming service ITVX in the form of two 90-minute highlights shows, to be broadcast shortly after the events take place in June and December respectively.

"We're delighted to be working with Global this year as we bring the biggest summer and Christmas parties to ITV," said Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning at ITV.

"A stellar lineup, fantastic music and fan-favourite Roman at the helm, these TV specials are not to be missed."

TV coverage of the two concerts had been broadcast on Sky up until this year.
