US Election Night: How to watch live coverage in the UK

Find out the main broadcasters' plans for coverage of US election night on November 3 as Joe Biden challenges Donald Trump for the Presidency.

This Tuesday, November 3 marks election day in the US, with millions of Americans turning out to the polls to either hand President Donald Trump a second term or replace him with Democrat challenger Joe Biden.

The result is usually known on the night itself but 2020 could prove to be different, with a record number of people thought to have cast their votes by post as well as the suggestion that Trump may refuse to accept defeat should Biden win.

Regardless, the night promises to be an unmissable affair and here, we round up all of the different coverage options available to viewers in the UK.
