Britain's Got More Talent host Stephen Mulhern admits that he is disappointed with ITV's decision to axe the show after 13 years.

Stephen Mulhern has admitted that he was disappointed by ITV's decision to axe Britain's Got More Talent ahead of the upcoming 14th series.

The ITV2 companion show featured additional footage, interviews with the judges and celebrity guests and had aired alongside the main series every year since it began in 2007.

Last year it was confirmed that the popular spinoff would instead be reinvented as a series of bonus clips online as producers instead put more focus onto the main show.

"It's a shame and when it was decided they weren't going to do the ITV2 version I think the consensus among the boys and judges was this is a massive gap," Mulhern told The Sun.

"We did it from day one, when there were only three judges. Do I think it's a shame? I do. We got away with a lot of stuff."

The new series of Got Talent will start as usual next month, although the live finals have been delayed until the end of the year due to the coronavirus outbreak.
