Britain's Got Talent final vote percentages revealed

Britain's Got Talent winner Jon Courtenay polled more than a third of the votes to take the crown, ITV reveals.

Jon Courtenay romped to victory with more than a third of the votes cast in Saturday's final of Britain's Got Talent, it has been revealed.

The comedy musician triumphed with a humorous and heartfelt performance reflecting on the challenges of 2020, earning him 35.7% of all votes cast, according to figures released by ITV.

Choral group Sign Along With Us finished in a distant second place with 15.3% of the votes, followed by comedy magician Steve Royle on 14.1% and comedian Nabil Abdulrashid, whose race-related routine has drawn over 2,000 viewer complaints, with 13.9%.

The rest of the top 10 was made up of five magic acts - James and Dylan Piper (5.7%), Damien O'Brien (4.6%), Aidan McCann (3.7%), Jasper Cherry (3.3%) and Magical Bones (2.9%) - and dance duo Aaron and Jasmine, who finished last with just 0.8% of votes.

The show will return this Christmas for a one-off festive special ahead of a new series next Spring.
