Manchester United reportedly fall down the pecking order in the race to sign Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga this summer.

Manchester United have reportedly been dealt a blow in the race to sign Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

With less than a year remaining on his contract, Camavinga will be allowed to depart Roazhon Park for the right price this summer.

Previous reports have suggested that United are ahead of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid as they bid to secure the 18-year-old's signature.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United have now fallen down the pecking order after discussions with the player's representatives.

Talks have been described as 'not encouraging' with Camavinga said to prefer a move to Spain over the Premier League.

The saga could be prolonged into the final days of the transfer window with Real likely having to sell players before they can make an approach for the teenager.
