A century from New Zealand captain Ross Taylor is not enough as the Black Caps fall 24 runs short against the West Indies in St Kitts.

The West Indies have won the fourth one-day international against New Zealand by 24 runs to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series.

After captain Darren Sammy had won the toss and elected to bat, the hosts posted a solid score of 264 in St Kitts.

Kieron Pollard top-scored with a slow 56, while Marlon Samuels and Devon Thomas contributed 46 and 37 respectively before the Windies were all out with just one ball of their 50 overs remaining.

New Zealand captain Ross Taylor scored an impressive century in reply, but it was not enough for the Black Caps as Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson, Jacob Oram, Doug Bracewell, Tim Southee and Trent Boult all failed to reach double figures.

Tino Best took four wickers for 46 runs as New Zealand were eventually skittled out for 240.
