Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Mumbai Indians by seven wickets

Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Mumbai Indians by seven wickets thanks to an excellent unbeaten partnership from AB de Villiers and Parthiv Patel.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have won their second Indian Premier League game by beating Mumbai Indians by seven wickets earlier today.

The hosts recovered from a poor batting start to take the spoils thanks to an excellent partnership from AB de Villiers and Parthiv Patel.

Bangalore won the toss and chose to bowl, which looked like a good decision once they had restricted their opponents to 115-9 after their 20 overs.

Mumbai started their defence in astonishing fashion though, as Zaheer Khan dismissed Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh for ducks and Lasith Malinga got rid of Nic Maddinson, to leave Bangalore on 17-3.

The batting side recovered well thanks to De Villiers and Patel who smashed 10 fours and a six between them in their winning partnership of 97.
