Result: New Zealand thrash India in Wellington

New Zealand end their one-day series with India by recording an 87-run victory to complete a 4-0 triumph.

A century from Ross Taylor has helped New Zealand ease to an 87-run win over India in Wellington.

Taylor's innings of 102 contributed to the hosts setting India a target of 304, but the tourists never looked likely to achieve what turned out to be a daunting total.

India began well by removing New Zealand's openers for the loss of 41 runs, but after Taylor joined Kane Williamson at the crease, the pair put on 152 runs for the third wicket as the home team reached 193-3 with 12.3 overs remaining.

After Williamson was dismissed, Taylor remained to reach his century, while he was supported by explosive knocks from Brendon McCullum and James Neesham.

Replying to 303-5, India were soon reduced to 30-3, and although Virat Kohli recorded a run-a-ball 82 and MS Dhoni chipped in with 47, the visitors were never in contention, and they tamely succumbed to a heavy defeat after being bowled out for 216 with two balls to spare.
