India beat the West Indies by eight wickets at The Oval to reach the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy.

India have reached the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy with an eight-wicket win over the West Indies at The Oval.

Their comfortable victory, made with 10 overs remaining, has seen Pakistan exit the competition.

The Windies were put into bat first and could only manage 233-9 from their 50 overs before India reached their target for the loss of two wickets.

Chris Gayle made 21 before he was dismissed, while Johnson Charles (60) and Darren Sammy (56 not out) helped push their side towards a more respectable score.

Ravindra Jadeja proved lethal with the ball for India, taking five wickets for the loss of 36 runs.

The Indians were boosted at the crease with an unbeaten knock of 102 from Shikhar Dhawan - his second consecutive century.

Rohit Sharma (52) was also good value out in the middle, while Dinesh Karthik (51 not out) joined Dhawan in helping his side close out the match.
