England post 152 in Twenty20

England set the West Indies a target of 153 in their second Twenty20 match.

England have set the West Indies a total of 153 for victory in their second Twenty20 match.

England were a wicket down in just the second over of their innings, as Michael Lumb was given lbw off a full toss from Krishmar Santokie.

The medium-pace bowler struck again with his next over, trapping Moeen Ali with a similar delivery that cost his teammate just a few moments earlier, while Eoin Morgan followed for three runs shortly after, reducing the tourists to 26-3 after just five overs.

Alex Hales and Jos Buttler worked hard to steady the ship for England, adding 72 for the fourth wicket before the opener hooked a Dwayne Bravo delivery to Lendl Simmons at midwicket.

As Buttler neared his half-century, his progress was halted by a brief rain shower, forcing the players off for around half an hour, but the batsmen were able to return to complete their innings.

The wicketkeeper was able to reach 67 from 43 balls before falling to Santokie in the penultimate over, while Ravi Bopara followed later in the over.

Tim Bresnan and Luke Wright both had late cameos, each adding seven off the last six balls as England finished 152-7.
