The match was reduced to a 41-over affair because of a two-and-a-half hour rain delay in Mirpur.

Bangladesh opted to field after winning the toss and struck with just the second ball when Mashrafe Mortaza trapped Ajinkya Rahane lbw.

After reaching 55/3, the next five wickets fell for exactly 50 runs as Bangladesh, inspired by Ahmed, tore through.

Suresh Raina was India's top-scorer with 27 runs.

India hold a 1-0 series lead after squeezing through the opener.
