A century from Steven Smith has helped Australia to a 93-run victory in their first one-day international with Pakistan.
The 25-year-old's innings of 101 from 118 balls helped his side to 255 from their 50 overs but Pakistan never threatened that total as they slumped to defeat in Sharjah.
Smith came to the crease after Aaron Finch had been dismissed for a first-ball duck, but he and David Warner, who scored 43, recovered the situation with a second-wicket partnership of 86.
Australia lost wickets on a regular basis after Warner's dismissal but Smith's century, which included six fours and two maximums, helped his team to 255-8.
Pakistan started brightly enough, with opener Sarfraz Ahmed making 34, but after his dismissal, they were always struggling and they found themselves on 102-6 with more than half of their innings to be played.
Umar Akmal hung around to register 46 off 57, but batsmen continued to fall around him and Pakistan were eventually all out for 162 with 13-and-a-half overs still remaining.
