Ed McKeever has won the gold medal in the men's K1 200m race, beating Saul Craviotto Rivero of Spain and Mark de Jonge of Canada, who finished in second and third.

McKeever made a strong start to the race, taking an early lead over his rivals.

The Briton continued to lead throughout the race as Rivero tried to catch up with the early pace.
