Kevin Mitchell has stopped Ghislain Maduma in the 11th round of their IBF lightweight title eliminator clash.

The Englishman was losing on the judges' scorecards with the contest reaching its conclusion, but Mitchell struck his opponent with a succession of blows to leave him running for cover.
Maduma collapsed onto the ropes before regaining composure to carry on, only for Mitchell to land a jab with his left hand to knock the Canadian down once more, prompting the referee to end the contest.
Despite the victory, Mitchell will not get a title shot due to the fact that he was over the maximum weight limit for the fight.
