Glenn Foot sees off Dale Evans to win the Prizefighter trophy in the final of the welterweights III.

Glenn Foot claimed the first Prizefighter trophy of 2013 courtesy of a victory over the previously-undefeated Dale Evans in the final of the welterweights III this evening.

His meeting with Evans proved to be a close contest, with Sunderland-born Foot getting the nod on a split decision.

The win, which earned Foot £34,000, means that he has taken his unbeaten record up to 10 bouts.

Foot made it through to the final of the competition at Wolverhampton's Civic Hall with wins over Steven Pearce and Chad Gaynor.
