23.56Join us again from 1pm tomorrow for all the action from the ExCel Centre. Goodnight!

23.55Tomorrow sees the flyweight and the light-heavy competitions get underway. I think today was better than yesterday so, by that logic, tomorrow should be even better. Make sure not to miss it!

23.52Well that brings to a close day two of the Olympic boxing. Some obvious highlights were victories for Freddie Evans and Josh Taylor. Errol Spence was quite impressive, as was Jose Ramirez.

23.50That was a brilliant final fight, in which Suzuki staged a late flurry to take a one-point win.

23.35Final fight: Yasuhiro Suzuki (Japan) vs Mehdi Khalsi (Morocco)

23.23Conceicao has accused the judges of being biased following his defeat to Josh Taylor. I think not, Taylor deserved his win in my humble opinion.

23.16Next up: Gabriel Maestre Perez (Venezuela) vs Amin Ghasemi Pour (Iran)

23.15Not a bad fight, but not much beauty on display. Plenty of heart from both, but that will only get you so far. Lusizi it is who takes the W.

23.01On now: Ahmed Abdulkareem Ahmed (Iraq) vs Siphiwe Lusizi (South Africa)

22.58Zamkavoy wins 16-11. Definitely was not untouchable, but technically decent.

22.46On now: Qiong Mai Maitituersun (China) vs Andrey Zamkovoy (Russia)

22.43A shattering left hook from Sanchez troubled Nolan in the closing stages, but the Irishman hangs on to claim a 14-8 win.

22.35Nolan leads 11-6. Final round.

22.31Nolan looked ok there but he was caught with a night right hand. Danger signs are there for the Irishman.

22.26Next up: Carlos Sanchez Estacio (Ecuador) vs Adam Nolan (Ireland)

22.25Spences takes the win - 16-10. He looked quite good and you would expect him to get better as the tournament goes on. Nice win.

22.20Carvalho has been given a warning for holding. Two points to Spence and he now leads 12-7. Final round.

22.12Spence has done a good job of evading Carvalho so far, while throwing a few himself.

22.09this should be a good fight. Eager to see Errol Spence in action - he's being talked about.

22.09Next up: Myke Carvalho (Brazil) vs Errol Spence (United States)

22.08Han wins through 11-6. He did what he had to do, but Eliwa did not press the fight in the final round when he was trailing by three.

21.55Cagey start to the Eliwa-Han bout.

21.54Next up: Mohamed Eliwa (Egypt) vs Soonchul Han (South Korea)

21.51OOF! Ramirez takes it by one point! A fantastic bout there, best of the day.

21.49Brilliant fight. Ramirez has done enough I think, but it could go either way. Again, brilliant...

21.45Ramirez looks rather decent here. He leads 13-11 going into the final round, but seems well in control.

21.42Ramirez ended the first round on top. A great burst as Azzadine was against the ropes.

21.36Ramirez is very easy to spot in his luminescent boots.

21.35Next up: Rachid Azzedine (France) vs Jose Ramirez (United States)

21.34There it is - Gaibnazarov into the next round 11-6.

21.33Gaibnazarov should be in the next round. He was leading by three heading into the final round. We await the judges verdict...

21.252-2 at the end of the first between Gaibnazarov and Mewoli.

21.23On now: Fazliddin Gaibnazarov (Uzbekistan) vs Yhyacinthe Mewoli Abdon (Cameroon)

21.03Evaldas Petrauskas of Lithuania has just demolished Hungary's Miklos Varga as well.

21.01But for all you Team GB fans out there, read this: Taylor makes it three out of three for Great Britain

21.00Welcome back to our coverage of the evening session from the ExCel Arena. We have had a few gremlins in the system, so we could not bring you live text from Josh Taylor's lightweight bout against Robson Conceicao.

16.55So Freddie Evans brings the afternoon session to a close with a great win. Can Josh Taylor follow him and Anthony Ogogo through? We will have to wait and see. Join us again from 8.30pm for the evening session from the ExCel Centre.

16.42Evans wins 18-10.... and he looked very good.

End of Round 3Great performance from Freddie Evans. That should see him through.

Round 3Abbadi giving everything as the clock ticks down. Evans doing well in keeping his range.

Round 3Another nice punch finds it's target.

Round 3Stiff right from Evans.

Round 3Third round has started a bit scrappy...

End of Round 2Evans is 12-7 up after the second round. Third and final coming up...

Round 2Abbadi lands a nice right, but Evans responds with a shot of his own. Great fight.

Round 2Great shot from Evans! Timed to perfection and throws Abbadi off balance!

Round 2Abbadi has started a bit better in this round.

End of Round 1Very good start from Evans and he takes a 7-5 lead.

Round 1Evans ducks and catches Abbadi with a nice left.

Round 1Evans has started well and looks in good nick.

Round 1Good jab from Evans, Abbadi responds with a nice left.

16.27Here we go... Freddie Evans is Great Britain's next Olympic boxer. Ding! Ding!

16.26Next up: Freddie Evans (Great Britain) vs Ilyas Abbadi (Algeria)

16.10Next up: Moustapha Abdoulaye Hima (Niger) vs Cameron Hammond (Australia)

16.09Good final round after a fairly drab first two, and it should be Clayton advancing... and he does by 12-8.

16.05Clayton ahead heading into the final round.

15.56Next up: Custio Clayton (Canada) vs Oscar Molina Casillas (Mexico)

15.45Good opening round, looks like the German could pose a few problems for Vastine.

15.39Byamba wins. Easy. Next up: Alexis Vastine (France) vs Patrick Wojcicki (Germany)

15.27Byamba is in control in this one...

15.25On now: Tuvshinbat Byamba (Mongolia) vs Yannick Mitoumba Mbemy (Gabon)

15.08Next up: Selemani Kidunda (Tanzania) vs Vasilii Belous (Moldova)

15.03Liu Qiang was good. Jackson was bad. Easy win for the Chinese fighter.

14.53Liu Qiang... no Mortal Kombat references please. Jackson will be hoping not to follow countryman Jesse Ross home

14.50Next up: Luke Jackson (Australia) vs Liu Qiang (China)

14.48It was hard to tell if Bhagwan looked good or Allisop looked bad. A bit of both, maybe...

14.36Next up: Andrique Allisop (Seychelles) vs Jai Bhagwan (India)

14.34The crowd boos, Richie Woodhall says "digusting, [Ardee] has been robbed."

14.3312-12... another count-back... and it's Zhailauov who wins.

14.31Brilliant final round from Ardee.

14.29We're all square heading into the final round of this exciting lightweight contest.

14.18Next up: Gani Zhailauov (Kazkhstan) vs Saylom Ardee (Thailand)

14.15Verdejo wins 11-5. Great performance from the Puerto Rican.

14.02Next up: Felix Verdejo Sanchez (Puerto Rico) vs Juan Huertas Garcia (Panama)

14.00Mejri goes through 16-9. He was in front the whole way through.

13.59This could be close between Mejri and Chitou. It was a bit of a sloppy fight, but you expect a few like that - especially at this stage of the competition.

13.45Next up: Ahmed Mejri (Tunisia) vs Shafiq Chitou (Benin)

13.43Wellington Romero should be safely through to the last 16... and by 17-8, he is. Very well done.

13.37Welcome to day two at the ExCel Centre. First up is Wellington Romero (Dominican Republic) vs Eduar Marriaga Campo (Colombia) in the lightweight classification.
