Result: Russia men, women take gold in 3x3 basketball

Russia's men and women both win gold in the 3x3 basketball event at the European Games in Baku.

Russian Federation have won gold in both the men's and women's 3x3 basketball events at the European Games tonight.

There were two reasons to celebrate at the Basketball Arena for the Russians, who improved on their ever-widening collection of medals in Baku.

First, the women piled the pressure on their male compatriots by beating Ukraine 22-17 to clinch gold, but the men kept their end of the bargain with a 18-14 win over Spain.

Serbia beat Slovenia 21-14 to take the men's bronze, while Spain also beat Slovenia 19-9 to scoop third.

As of now, Team Russia lead the medal table with 138 - 86 clear of host nation Azerbaijan in second.
