Hassan Whiteside leads Miami Heat to win over Boston Celtics

Hassan Whiteside again impresses with 20 points and nine rebounds as the Miami Heat hand a third straight loss to the Boston Celtics.

The Miami Heat ended a two-game losing streak with an 83-75 win over the Boston Celtics in the first of two NBA games on Sunday.

Center Hassan Whiteside again impressed for the Heat with 20 points, nine rebounds and three blocks at TD Garden.

Half of his 20 points came during a dominant stretch in the third and fourth quarters as Miami put themselves in a strong position after the Celtics had trimmed a 13-point half-time lead.

The Heat, without Dwyane Wade and Luol Deng, also had 18 points from Chris Bosh, while the Celtics were led by Avery Bradley and Tyler Zeller, who had 17 points apiece.

Boston have now lost six of their last seven games and sit three-and-a-half games outside the playoffs in the Eastern Conference.
