LeBron James helped Los Angeles Lakers finish strongly to beat Charlotte Hornets 120-101 in the NBA.

Golden State Warriors suffered another defeat and by a heavy margin, losing 120-92 to Oklahoma City Thunder.

The final deficit could have been worst had Warriors not won the final quarter, but they were second best for much of the game.

It was much closer between Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies with Jae Crowder's overtime game-winner at the buzzer giving Grizzlies a dramatic 134-133 win.

Anthony Davis hit 29 points to help Los Angeles Lakers beat Charlotte Hornets 120-101 with LeBron James helping put the game to bed in the fourth.

James scored 14 of his game total 20 points in the final quarter to ensure Lakers moved to 2-1 for the season.

CJ McCollum's 35 points helped Portland Trail Blazers recover from a slow start to triumph 121-119 against Dallas Mavericks.

Minnesota Timberwolves stunned Miami Heat 116-109 with Andrew Wiggins scoring 11 consecutive points in the fourth to inspire victory in a back and forth fixture.
