Great Britain's Tiffany Porter is through to the semi-finals of the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.79s.

Great Britain's Tiffany Porter has booked a place in the 100m hurdles semi-finals after a powerful run in the opening heat at the Olympic Stadium.

The Brit started off well out of the blocks after Rahamatou Drame was disqualified after a false start.

The 24-year-old blasted through the first two hurdles but drifted back towards the home stretch as she allowed Alina Talay of Belarus and Canada's Jessica Zelinka to grab the final two qualifying spots.

Porter, who is the only Brit to contest for a place in the final after Jessica Ennis pulled out following her heptathlon victory, claimed the third quickest time of 12.79s.
