Great Britain's Katerana Johnson-Thompson has equalled her personal best of 13.48s after finishing in fourth in the women's heptathlon 100m hurdles heat.

The Brit has got off to her Olympic campaign on the back foot in lane nine but she managed to sprint towards the end after knocking over the penultimate hurdle.

Lyudmyla Yosypenko grabbed the first spot in the race with a time of 13.25s but she only just edged it after coming under pressure from Lilli Schwarzkopf from Germany, who finished with a 13.26s.

Johnson-Thompson now sits 15th in the overall standings with her teammate Jessica Ennis sitting at the top of the rankings after setting a British record in the final heat of the hurdles.
