Great Britain's Conrad Williams, Jack Green, Dai Greene and Martyn Rooney finish fourth in tonight's relay final.

Great Britain's men's 4x400m squad finished fourth during this evening's Olympic relay final in London.

Conrad Williams led the British team off and he passed the baton to Jack Green in third position.

However, Green appeared to struggle on his leg as Team GB dropped back into fifth as Dai Greene collected the baton for the third leg.

Greene brought the team into contention before he handed over to Martyn Rooney on the anchor leg. Rooney worked hard during the last lap, but he was unable to get the team within the medals.

They eventually finished fourth in a time of 2:59.53, which is the quickest that the quartet have run all year.

The Bahamas claimed gold in 2:56.72, while the United States took the silver medal.

Trinidad and Tobago ended in the bronze medal position, just ahead of Britain.
