Result: Another gold for Greg Rutherford in European Championships long jump

Greg Rutherford adds long jump gold at the European Championships to his Commonwealth and Olympic titles.

Greg Rutherford added European gold to his Commonwealth and Olympic long jump titles in Zurich this afternoon.

The jumper from Great Britain soared to 8.29m, finishing 14cm clear of Greece's Louis Tsatoumas.

Kafetien Gomis of France [8.14m] claimed bronze, just ahead of Spain's Eusebio Caceres, who posted a season-best 8.11m.

Gold for Great Britain was their 11th of the Championships and they are now guaranteed to top the medal table ahead of France.
