The BBC will continue to broadcast free-to-air coverage of the FA Cup after agreeing a sub-licensing deal with TNT Sports.

The BBC has secured a sub-licensing deal with TNT Sports for continued free-to-air coverage of the FA Cup from the 2025-26 season.

Earlier this year TNT agreed the most comprehensive rights deal in the competition's history to broadcast every match live outside of the Saturday 3pm blackout.

The BBC and ITV currently share FA Cup rights on an agreement that runs to the end of next season, but the corporation's deal with TNT will see it keep 14 games a season for the four years after that.

The allocation includes two games per round up to and including the quarter-finals, as well as one of the semi-finals and the final.

"The BBC has a proud history of bringing fans across the nation together for all the magic and drama of the FA Cup," said Philip Bernie, the interim director of BBC Sport.

"This partnership for the next four years is brilliant news and, alongside our recent Premier League extension and UEFA Champions League highlights coming this year, means that BBC Sport will deliver fans top class analysis, commentary and coverage of the biggest football competitions free to air and accessible for all."

Trojan Paillot, WBD Sport's svp of rights acquisitions, added: "TNT Sports will broadcast every single game outside of 3pm kickoffs, starting from the first round, ensuring fans can watch more of the Emirates FA Cup than ever before all in one place.

"Our ambition is to make more of the live Emirates FA Cup action available to fans than ever before, so the BBC are an outstanding partner to ensure that alongside more games we also make the competition as widely available as possible."

This year's final will see rivals Manchester City and Manchester United face off at Wembley on May 25.
