New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick became only the third person to oversee 300 NFL regular-season victories when his side beat the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium on Sunday night.
The 71-year-old has been in charge of the Patriots since 2000, helping the franchise to win the Super Bowl six times during his legendary 23-year tenure.
The Patriots have struggled to return to those heights since the departure of quarterback Tom Brady, though, and they went into Sunday's meeting with the Bills as significant underdogs.
Belichick had already suffered the two worst losses of his career this season - a 38-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys and a 34-0 defeat at the hands of the New Orleans Saints - while stuck on 299 regular-season wins.
However, Mac Jones's late touchdown pass to Mike Gesicki sealed a 29-25 win for the Pats, just their second of the 2023 season but a 300th overall as a head coach for Belichick.

Only Don Shula (328) and George Halas (318) have picked up more regular-season wins than Belichick in the history of the NFL, as he became the third person to reach the 300 landmark.
Including the playoffs as well, Belichick now has 331 wins to his name, behind only Shula's all-time record of 347.
After the match, Belichick told reporters: "It's great, but I'm really more focused on our team and this year. Will worry about that later. Thank you."
The Patriots have made their worst start to a season under Belichick this term, sitting bottom of the AFC East with a 2-5 record.
