Paul Heyman unsure of CM Punk's WWE status

Paul Heyman insists that he does not know whether long-time friend CM Punk will return to the WWE before his contract expires in July.

Paul Heyman has insisted that only Vince McMahon and Triple H are aware of whether CM Punk will ever return to the WWE.

Punk walked out on the company the night after the Royal Rumble in January, and it is currently expected that the Chicago-born superstar will remain inactive until his contract expires in the summer.

However, Heyman, a long-time associate of Punk, has claimed that he does not know Punk's current status.

The 48-year-old told ThisisInfamous.com: "You know, there were only three people in the room that night, and that was CM Punk, Vince McMahon and Triple H, and none of the three have talked about it.

"So whether CM Punk will ever or won't ever appear in WWE again is truly only known by the three people that were in the room on that given evening. Anything else that is stated about it is merely speculation."

Punk has been a regular feature on the WWE roster since 2006.
