Team GB snowboarder Jenny Jones has revealed that watching Katherine Grainger win rowing gold at London 2012 inspired her in Sunday's slopestyle event in Sochi.
Jones, 33, claimed Great Britain's first ever Olympic medal on the snow when she picked up bronze with 87.25 points.
The former chalet maid considered retirement in 2012, but she decided against quitting after witnessing 36-year-old Grainger win her maiden Olympic gold in the double sculls after three successive silvers.
"I still get goose bumps thinking about her winning and knowing the story," Jones told BBC Sport. "She was willing to put it all on the line, it paid off and that was inspiring.
"She is in the slightly older bracket and I have a lot of respect for that because I am not exactly a spring chicken either and it was something I could relate to."
Great Britain are currently joint-18th in the Sochi medals table.
