Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen pulls out of Games following brother's death

Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen pulls out of the Sochi Games, opting to return to Norway to be with her family after the death of her brother last week.

Norwegian skier Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen has pulled out of the remainder of the Winter Olympics due to family reasons.

Jacobsen, who was due to compete in Saturday's 30km freestyle race, was hit by the news that her brother had died on the eve of the Games.

The 27-year-old has now opted to travel back to Norway in order to be with her family, after not being named to compete in Wednesday's team sprint.

Jacobsen competed in three races in Sochi, finishing fourth in the individual sprint, 19th in the 10km classic, and fifth in the team relay event.
