Marin Cilic withdraws from Wimbledon

A knee problem sees Croatian Marin Cilic become the fifth player to pull out of Wimbledon today.

Marin Cilic has joined a growing list of players to pull out of Wimbledon today because of injury.

John Isner and Radek Stepanek were both forced to retire during their matches, while second seed Victoria Azarenka had to withdraw with a knee problem.

Then, Steve Darcis, who knocked out two-time winner Rafael Nadal in round one, revealed that he had picked up a shoulder problem and would not be able to continue.

World number 12 Cilic has taken the total of withdrawals to five. He had been due to face Frenchman Kenny De Schepper this afternoon, but a knee complaint has forced him to exit the competition.

The Croatian had been in Andy Murray's side of the draw.
