Kevin Anderson eases past Austin Krajicek to book place in third round

Kevin Anderson takes just 95 minutes to defeat American Austin Krajicek 6-3 6-4 6-2 in the second round of the US Open.

Kevin Anderson has beaten Austin Krajicek 6-3 6-4 6-2 to progress to the third round of the US Open.

The 15th seed was heavy favourite to win before play commenced, and that is exactly how the match played out. He won the opening three games and held serve throughout to take the first set in just over half an hour.

The second set was a repeat of the first, with the South African winning three games in a row to take it 6-4.

It took just 26 minutes for Anderson to despatch Krajicek in the third set, after breaking serve in games one and seven.
