Heather Watson will not recover from glandular fever in time for Great Britain's Fed Cup match against Argentina.

Great Britain will be without Heather Watson for this month's Fed Cup match in Argentina.

It has been decided that the world number 41 would not recover in time from glandular fever, which she was diagnosed with last week.

As yet, no date has been set for when the 20-year-old will return to action.

Her absence means that Judy Murray will have to select a replacement in the coming days for the encounter with Argentina, which will get underway on Saturday, April 20.
