Jo-Wilfried Tsonga confirms participation at Aegon Open in Nottingham

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga confirms that he will play in the Aegon Open in Nottingham in June, the week before Wimbledon.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has confirmed that he will play in the Wimbledon warm-up Aegon Open in Nottingham this June.

The Frenchman, who has reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon twice, will be joined by Feliciano Lopez and Britain's James Ward.

"The grass court season is a very special time of year for me and one I always look forward to," Tsonga said in a statement.

"The fans are really passionate about tennis and their support helps bring the best out of me. I hope to be spending a lot of time playing on grass this summer and the tournament in Nottingham will be ideal preparation for Wimbledon."

Tsonga's last outing was at the Barcelona Open last week, where he suffered a second-round defeat to Marcel Granollers.
