Caroline Wozniacki powers through at Roland Garros

Caroline Wozniacki thrashes Karin Knapp 6-3 6-0 in the opening round of the French Open.

Caroline Wozniacki has eased into the French Open second round with a resounding victory over Karin Knapp.

The fifth seed failed to convert six break points at the start of the opening set, though it mattered little as she eventually came through 6-3.

Wozniacki's power then saw her brush the Italian aside in the second, coming through 6-3 6-0 in less than 90 minutes.

The Dane will now face Germany's Julia Goerges for a spot in round three at Roland Garros.
