Caroline Wozniacki: 'I felt rusty during French Open defeat'

Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki admits that she felt "rusty" during her first-round defeat at the French Open.

Caroline Wozniacki has admitted that she felt "rusty" during her first-round defeat at the French Open earlier today.

The former world number one, who recently split up with golfer Rory McIlroy, lost 7-6 4-6 6-2 to Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium.

After the match, she told reporters: "I am happy to talk about my match but not my personal life. I hope you will understand that. I want to thank everyone for their support and sweet messages.

"I prepared as best I could. I haven't been able to play that many matches because of the [knee] injury. I felt rusty, it wasn't a pretty match."

The Dane had not lost in the first round at Roland Garros since she made her debut at the event in 2007.
