Andy Murray is confident that he has a chance of winning the French Open for the first time in his career this year.
The 27-year-old has been in impressive form of late, winning his first clay-court title at the Munich Open earlier this month, before beating Rafael Nadal in Madrid to claim further glory on the surface.
Having remained unbeaten on clay so far this year, Murray is now eyeing up further success at Roland Garros when the season's second Grand Slam gets underway in 10 days' time.
"It's not impossible," the Scot is quoted as saying by ESPN when asked about his chances of winning the trophy in Paris.
"Whereas, maybe the last few years, even though I played some good tennis in Paris, I didn't feel like I was maybe healthy enough or played enough matches or had enough big wins against top players to believe I could do it.
"Maybe this year will be different. There's a chance. If I play well, then I know I have the chance to go far in the tournament."
Before then, Murray must focus on the Italian Open, having secured a place in the third round of the tournament.
